Coach, Chris Van Dijk, was thrilled with the results over the weekend and would like to congratulate all the Sunraysia participants who did so well at the State Championships. It was particularly pleasing to see some athletes record personal bests; some with a small margin, eg Taylor Hand took 1.5 seconds off her personal best in the 400m and others with a very large improvement, eg Jordan Stainer took a whopping 10 seconds off his Personal Best time in the 800m.

To have six State Champions;  Rinaldo Pender, Brodie Jackson, Asare Amoafo, Jordan Stainer, Robert Broadhead and Taylor Hand from Mildura is testament to the strength of the program and the support received from Simon Moran, President of Salisbury Athletics Club.

The Academy congratulates all athletes who competed at Athletics SA State Championships and wishes Asare Amoafo, Rinaldo Pender, Taylor Hand and Robert Broadhead all the best when they compete for South Australia in the upcoming Australian Junior Championships at Sydney Olympic Park from 11-15th March.
