Dillon Chambers has decided to move to Melbourne to pursue his dream of representing Australia in tabletennis. At only 14 years old he was selected in the inaugural Sunraysia Academy of Sport individual athlete program earlier this year. With the demands of having to travel on a regular basis to Melbourne to play in tournaments, the decision was made to go to school and train in Melbourne.
As the number 1 tabletennis player in Mildura and undefeated in singles so far, Dillon has achieved what many 14 year olds would only dream of. In 2011 he won the South Australian open U15 singles and doubles tournament. In the Victorian U15 schoolboys championship he came runner up. At the Australian U15 teams event Dillon was ranked 8 on order of merit and was rewarded with being selected as a member of the Australian U15 training squad.
In 2012 Dillon has been successful in a number of tournaments and is currently ranked 32 overall in Victoria and  ranked 5th in U15 boys in Victoria. His short term goal is to be selected in the Victorian U15 state team which will be announced early August.
