Sunraysia Academy of Sport tennis athletes have performed well at a number of regional tournaments held recently.
The 2013 Sunraysia Tennis Program athletes took a major step up in their development and the players made quite an impact at the Inter regional challenge and tournaments over the June/July holidays.
Doug Hill, Tennis Victoriaâs Regional State Coach said âhe was absolutely delighted with the results, energy, determination and attitude of all the players over this period with a special mention to âteamâ manager Maree Moore and the parents supportâ.
In the âteamsâ event over the Queens Birthday weekend SAS athletes combined with players from Horsham and Bendigo in a Northern Mallee composite team to finish in 5th place against teams from country and city regions, disposing of some more fancied rivals and making the âtennis communityâ sit up and take notice.
Bendigo AMT & OJT was the âtournament supportâ venue in July with SAS athletes competing in a number of events including the AMT to test their skill and come away with valuable lessons to progress their development.

The SAS Tennis program is a holistic approach with parents and private coaches involved so that the athletes, along with personalised take home gym programs and regular athlete career and education sessions, receive all the support they need to advance their potential and dreams.
