The Sunraysia Academy of Sport tennis program begin their year alongside Milduraâ€™s Pro Tour Event on 15th March Â with players from Mildura, Swan Hill and the surrounding regions coming together for the first camp/clinic Â at Mildura Lawn Tennis Club.
The 2015 Sunraysia Tennis Program athletes startÂ there Tournament Performance program looking to jump another level for returning players and our rookies taking on ingredients of control, consistency and courage, to perform at their best on the tournament stage.
Doug Hill, Tennis Victoriaâ€™s Regional State Coach said â€œhe was absolutely delighted to return for his 3rd year and stated that the program was spreading its wings to reach players from all around the region with a number of first year athletes eager to get underway. Returning athletes looking to jump another level and expand their skill component to compete with anyone anywhere.
The SAS Tennis program has a holistic approach with parents and private coaches involved so that the athletes, along with weekly gym sessions (to be held at Chaffey Secondary College) and sport science education, receive all the support they need to advance their potential and dreams.
A big representation of SAS players, again, will contest Tennis Victoriaâ€™s Region Teams Challenge in Bendigo at the end of the month and another strong showing by the Northern Mallee team will definitely show the strength of tennis in the region.
